Main research areas
Evolutionary ecology
I investigate the factors influencing the sex ratio of offspring and their effects on fitness. I also study the factors influencing reproductive success and infidelity in a passerine bird.
Keywords
Applied ecology
Our research project focuses on the ecological cycles of tick-borne pathogens (species of Borrelia, Rickettsia, and Anaplasma) in lizards and snakes. We also aim to understand the potential physiological effects of these pathogens on reptiles. In addition to tick-borne pathogens, we study herpesvirus infections in lizards and the associated lesions (papillomatosis).
