Main research areas
microstructure of new materials
The microstructure of materials has a fundamental influence on their mechanical properties (hardness, plasticity, corrosion resistance, ...) The study of the dependence of the microstructure of novel, innovative materials on the manufacturing conditions is the focus of my research. Using EDS and EBSD detectors in scanning electron microscopes, I study the relationship between element and grain size distribution and mechanical properties.
Keywords
microstructure of meteorites
The main aim of my research is to describe the microstructure of meteorites and the distribution of the elements they contain, which will help us to understand the conditions of their formation and, through this, to better understand the history of the Solar System.
