Major portion of my work deals with representation theory of finite dimensional algebras. Quasi-hereditary algebras were intorduced in the late 80's of last century and the notion was soon followed by a natural generalization, the class of standardly stratified algebras. With coauthors we investigated structural and homological properties of these classe and obtained results related to the finitistic dimension conjecture and to the Koszul duality of these algebras. We intorduced the notion of standard Koszul algebras (studied and used later by many authors) which plays an important role in the theory of those quasi-hereditary and standardly stratified algebras which behave nicely with respect to Koszul duality.
